Biography

Kharia J. Holmes, MD is a mother, daughter, sister, friend, board certified internal medicine physician, and author who lives in DC/Maryland.Virginia with her parents and her son. She enjoys making patients and others laugh because laughter is truly the best medicine. She received her medical education at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. She completed her internship, residency, and geriatric fellowship from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She likes to say often that she is a “Pediatrician for Adults” and finds it amazing to live her dream. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporate in addition to many other professional organizations. She is constantly inspired and exhausted by her young son and his grandparents. Her passion for caring for others is only matched by her passion for writing.
