Biography

Stefanie Holtzer grew up locally in the Rockville area. She attended York College of PA where she received her Bachelors in nursing.

Following this, Stefanie worked in DC at The George Washington University Hospital on a comprehensive stroke unit, which also specialized in EMU monitoring, orthopedic medicine, general medicine, and eventually trauma care. During her almost six years there she wore many hats, including working as an RN, RN preceptor, Charge Nurse, and RN Supervisor. During this time, she also attended Walden University where she received her Masters of Science in Nursing; specialized in the area of adult/geriatric primary care. She soon after obtained licensure as an adult geriatric nurse practitioner.

Before starting at RIMG, Stefanie worked as an RN at Patient First in the field of Urgent and Primary care, where she first began to transition into the outpatient setting. Stefanie has always enjoyed building long-term relationships with patients and providing holistic care to the community.

In her personal life Stefanie is an animal lover who is obsessed with pugs. In her pastime she enjoys being in nature, reading poetry, writing, and spending time in her favorite place, Chincoteague, VA with her family and boyfriend.
