Allison O’Brien grew up in Brooklyn, NY. In her spare time, she plays on an alumni softball and volleyball team. She also enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She currently lives in Arlington, Virginia.
Allison O’Brien attended Villanova University as an undergraduate, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While there she participated in a week long medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic, providing basic healthcare to Haitian migrant workers living in La Romana. It was on that trip that she first was inspired to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner. As a nurse, she worked on an intermediate care unit at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and spent her last year there specializing hepatology. She then attended Georgetown University, where she obtained a Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
