- Post-Splenectomy Patients: All post-Splenectomy patients should be vaccinated to decrease the risk of overwhelming postsplenectomy sepsis (OPSS) due to organisms such as Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenza type B, and Neisseria meningitides. If you had your spleen removed, please speak with your provider today.
- Attention Smokers! RIMG now offers screening for early detection of lung cancer. You are eligible for screening if you are a current smoker or former heavy smoker, over age 50, or if you are currently not receiving annual CT scans for early detection of lung cancer. The screening involves a blood test and Chest CT scan.
